NITK Beach Swachhata Abhiyan

"Earth, Water & Air are our real assets. It is our fundamental duty to safeguard them from pollution. The biggest gift that we can give to the future generation is a clean environment free from all kinds of pollution" said Mr. Yathish Baikampady, In-charge Beach Clean Campaign and Director, Environmental Wing State Red Cross as he addressed the gathering at the NITK Beach Swachhata Abhiyan organised by Dr. NSAM PU College, Nanthoor, Mangalore on 28-02-2021.. He also advised all the students to follow the traffic rules.

Inaugurating the function, Shri Chandrappa, Circle Inspector Surathkal Police Station, Mangalore said "It becomes easy to maintain cleanliness, once the students are free from all sorts of bad habits".

Presiding over the function Dr. Naveen Shetty K, Principal, Dr. NSAM PU College opined that cleanliness should not be limited only to our house or surrounding area. We should aim at keeping our villages, states and the country clean. "Stay clean and inspire others to remain clean is the main motto of Swachhata Abhiyan of our college", he added.

Mr. Ullas, Sub Inspector, Surathkal Police Station; Mr. Varun Chowta, Corporator Ward No 8, Hosabettu; Mrs. Sandhya NSS Officer; Mrs. Meera Crasta, Asst. NSS Officer and NSS volunteers were present at the Beach Clean Campaign program. Mr. Mahesh, Lecturer in Kannada welcomed and thanked the gathering. Ms. Pallavi, Student, Dr. NSAM PUC compered the program.
